This tutorial will help you move address book from one Thunderbird instance to another. This can be accomplished by export and importing it as files. Finally, you might want to to this because you have multiple computers with Ubuntu then you want contacts from the older computer with a lot of addresses (your family, friends, colleagues, community, teams) to be available in the new one. Now let's try it out!

I've posted a tutorial about Thunderbird+Enigmail earlier this month. But for Icedove users, although this mail client is based on Thunderbird, things may be not easy, so I write this tutorial. This explains how to install Enigmail into Icedove especially for you using Trisquel, Debian, PureOS, or Parabola where you have Icedove instead of Thunderbird there. This including how to import your personal GPG key pair. Enjoy!

This tutorial is a continuation to the previous Thunderbird+Enigmail tutorial. This is intended for you GNOME users (on Ubuntu, Fedora, PureOS, etc.) particularly if you use Evolution Mail Client. You will learn how to import your own pair of public+private keys, setup Evolution, and finally read and send email in encryption. Also, you can attach your public key so every recipient can reply to you with encrypted mail only you can read. Overall, it's easy if you know the way. Enjoy!

This tutorial explains how to create free (no cost) email account at BitMessage E-mail and setup it in mail client with IMAP mode on Ubuntu. The mail client used here is Thunderbird, which is only an example as you can apply same steps to Icedove and other mail clients. You will get @bitmessage.ch mail address, which can send/receive emails to regular emails such as @gmail.com and @yahoo.com, and with ability to delete your account permanently. Happy emailing!

This tutorial explains setup Gmail on Sylpheed Mail Client using IMAP mode. Sylpheed is a very user-friendly mail client, so easy so you can setup Gmail only in 1 minute. Sylpheed is default mail client on Lubuntu, so this article is mainly for Lubuntu users (and of course all Sylpheed users). It's easy and simple.

This tutorial explains how to setup Mozilla Thunderbird for Gmail IMAP account. You'll use manual config here based on Official Gmail Guide (pictured below). Here, I use Thunderbird version 45.5.1 on Linux Mint 18.1. I hope this helps any novice Thunderbird user on Ubuntu, Mint, Deepin, and another GNU/Linux distros.

This tutorial guides you to setup Evolution Mail Client for Gmail via IMAP mode. I do it on Evolution version 3.18 on Linux Mint 18.1. Evolution is a free replacement for Microsoft Outlook and is available on all GNU/Linux distros. If you use GNOME, most likely you will use Evolution as well, and I hope this tutorial helps you to setup it. Happy mailing!

This tutorial explains simply how to setup KMail for Gmail in POP3 setting (downloads copy of emails to desktop). You will first setup POP permission on web Gmail and then setup KMail to grab the mails. I hope this helps anyone new to KDE. For this article, I use KMail version 5.4.1 on Neon OS 5.9.
