Hyphenation is splitting a word or some words which the length is/are not fit the end of line. Every word processor can do hyphenation. Hyphenation done based on the language of the text. Hyphenation in a text document is best in Justified arrangement (not Center nor Left nor Right). Here, we want to introduce how hyphenation for English (US) done in LibreOffice Writer. We use LibreOffice 5.1.0.3 in Ubuntu 16.04.

In case of text management in Scribus, you will deal with Align Text Left or Align Text Justified. In almost every magazine, the common alignment is justified. The problem is space left outside text and blank space inside text. To resolve these, Scribus brings you sophisticated feature named Hyphenate Text. Access it from menu Extra > Hyphenate Text.
