This is a long list of my tutorials and reviews about Trisquel operating system on this website UbuntuBuzz.com. I acknowledge Trisquel Forum's All Manuals long list as my inspiration of this very list. This list includes installation guide, bootable making, applications recommendation, printing and scanning, writing Arabic and Latin texts, software development, and so on. After examples of productive activities, I think it's time to know the ways to install more software on Trisquel GNU/Linux. Officially there is one way: run you Synaptic Package Manager and get software with it. This way gets you software from official Trisquel repository. That is the normal way we get more software on Trisquel. I will discuss how to do it first using Synaptic with internet access and later with Terminal without internet access. I consider it's enough to just download everything from official repository without third-party ones as it's guaranteed to be 100% free software. I hope this will help you a lot and make you days using Trisquel much more easier. Enjoy!

This is the 4th part of Trisquel 8 manual for beginners. It's continuation to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd parts. Now, it's time to be productive: by examples, you will learn how to create colorful schedules (with Icedove), make a text document (with LibreOffice Writer), and edit a photo (with GIMP). I hope you can develop more creativity by trying these. Enjoy!

Continuing second part, in this part I discuss Trisquel filesystem so you will know your Home Directory and other places you will use everyday. This involves running the file manager, understanding and managing things you look at it, including your disk partitions and external storages, and how to examine your disk capacity usage. You will also see permission and ownership information of files. By knowing the filesystem, I hope you can work with Trisquel GNU/Linux better and easier for your life. Happy working!

Continuing the first part, in this part I will discuss about accessing internet on Trisquel 8.0. This includes how to operate built-in programs for web browsing (Abrowser), emails (Icedove), chatting (Pidgin), and downloading torrents (Transmission). Nowadays everyone needs these a lot on their PCs and laptops including people with no technical skills so this kind of guide is important for them. I hope this guide will be really useful for you starting with Trisquel GNU/Linux. Happy working!

This quick guide explains the steps to change desktop language for both Ubuntu 18.04 and Trisquel 8.0 to German, Russian, Spanish, Indonesian, and revert back to English. Here I also give an example (Indonesian) in installing manually a Language Pack which by default is not installed so you will understand how to do the same for another languages (Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, etc.). Enjoy Ubuntu and Trisquel in your own language!

Continuing the printing tutorial, scanning is also pretty easy on both Ubuntu 18.04 and Trisquel 8.0. We use one preinstalled program called Simple Scan there. Again, with the same device Canon MP160 printer+scanner (100% compatible with GNU/Linux), this tutorial explains the steps to do. You don't need to install any additional driver on both system to scan with this scanner. Happy scanning!

It is pretty easy. I use Canon MP160 as the printer here, as this inkjet printer mentioned as completely GNU/Linux compatible by h-node.org, so it’s automatically detected and no additional drivers needed on Ubuntu and Trisquel operating systems. You see how to print out documents (using LibreOffice), photos (using Shotwell/Image Viewer), and PDF (using Evince/Atril reader) on both systems. I hope this tutorial helps you both in printing and choosing best printer on GNU/Linux. Enjoy printing!
