Hello everybody, today I'd like to write a post about a brand new screencasting software called Vokoscreen. Vokoscreen can be used to create how to videos to improve understanding of visitors. As we all know, there are many Linux tutorial videos published on YouTube, so if you want to create such videos, you might want to give Vokoscreen a try, although there are some Linux software who can do that for you like Kazam and Record-My-Desktop.

Gamescaster is a front-end (graphical user interface) of open-source Framework "GLC". Gamecaster is able to record any games which uses ALSA for audio and OpenGL for drawing on the screen. The recorded video is in 'glc' format but Gamecaster can convert it into WebM format.

Eidete is an application which can record your screen activity and save it to video. It similiar with GTK RecordMyDesktop and Kazaam Screencaster (Linux) or Camtasia Studio (Windows). Eidete is being developed for Elementary project which provides a simple and easy-to-use user interface. By now, Eidete has the following features:

• encoding to webm
• selection of the area to be recorded
• display of the pressed keys
• audio recording
