 (Unity7 is still always be with Ubuntu even in this Eoan Ermine release)

This guide will explains installation of Unity desktop environment, the lovely user interface that dismissed since 2017, on Ubuntu 19.10 Eoan Ermine. Thanks to Dale and Khurshid Alam of Unity7 Maintainer Team, even today we can enjoy this Dash and HUD-powered desktop once again in latest Ubuntu version. This tutorial explains in step by step how to install Emerald window decorator on Ubuntu 18.04. You will compile the source code manually after installing required packages and get Emerald Manager program as the final result. Then you can use Emerald Manager to install many Emerald Themes available on OpenDesktop.org or such theme download sites and have experiments as much as you like. For both long-time and new users, even in 2018, you can still enable 3D Desktop effects on Ubuntu GNU/Linux variants. Compiz, the famous 3D compositor in old time (most of us know it), is still alive. KWin, the 3D compositor of KDE, is also still there. You just need to know how to enable 3D on each desktop environment. Here, I use Kubuntu, Xubuntu, and Ubuntu MATE as examples. Enjoy the nostalgia!
